Privacy Policy

1. What HKM Player is

HKM Player is a media player application for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. It does not provide, host, or distribute channels, movies, or TV shows. All content played in the app comes from media sources and files that you add yourself and are authorized to access.

2. Information we collect

HKM Player does not operate accounts, servers, or a backend service for you to sign in to. We do not collect personal information, and we do not receive your viewing activity.

There are no analytics SDKs, no advertising frameworks, and no third-party tracking libraries in the app.

3. Data stored on your device

Source configurations, playlists, imported media references, custom categories and artwork, watch history, Continue Watching positions, subtitle and appearance preferences, and downloaded files are stored locally on your device.

Credentials for media services you configure are stored in the iOS/tvOS Keychain, which is managed and encrypted by Apple.

4. iCloud sync

If you enable iCloud, source configurations are synced through Apple CloudKit within your own private iCloud account so they are available on your other devices. This data is not visible to us and is governed by Apple's privacy terms.

On Apple TV you may choose “Continue without iCloud” to keep the device's configuration entirely local.

5. Photo library access

If you choose to browse videos from your photo library, the app requests photo library permission. This access is optional, used only to display and play the videos you select, and processed entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

6. Network activity

HKM Player makes network requests only to the servers, playlists, and stream URLs that you configure. The app does not send your data to servers operated by us, because we operate none for this purpose.

Any content you stream or download is subject to the privacy practices and terms of the provider you connect to.

7. Purchases

HKM Player Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment details. Purchase validation and restore are managed by your Apple ID.

8. Children

HKM Player is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone. Because you supply the media sources, parents and guardians are responsible for the content added to a device.

9. Data deletion

Deleting the app removes locally stored data and downloads. Configurations synced through iCloud can be removed from within the app or by managing the app's data in your iCloud settings.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
